On February 24, 1941, The Brewery and Malting Plant Employees Credit Union was granted a charter from the State of Wisconsin.   It was financed on a loan for $500 from a brewery employee.   In the beginning, business was conducted out of a briefcase.   Meetings were held in the brewery machine shop, Beer Stube or the conference room in the basement of the Gotlieb Heileman home, formerly the corporate office of G. Heileman Brewing Company on 3rd and Winnebago Streets.

Over the years, River City Community Credit Union has been through name changes, charter changes, and address changes.   However, one thing has remained constant: Our mission is to maintain long term financial stability in a competitive market place by providing personalized products and services to our members.   We strive to provide new and improved services that help our members maintain financial security.

Now, anyone living or working in La Crosse County, or a relative of a current member, may become a member of River City Community Credit Union.   We are located at 1009 South Fourth St., La Crosse, Wisconsin, across the street from the City Brewery.   We have ample off street parking in our lot and also have a two-lane drive-up available for your convenience.
